I’d like to talk about "Point of building hypothesis" as a serial blog in five installments.
As for the web survey used frequently, we often receive the voice of anxiety such as "Is quality of panels OK?" from our clients.
I think that the web survey is being utilized by one of the survey methods which is very effective for immediacy and cost compared with the telephone survey, the group interview, and the depth interview. We often cooperate with the research firms as verification of hypothesis.
There is a method to be confirmed with a single shot. It takes your time and effort, but there are a lot of things to get for your business at the same time.
Question of FA (Free Answer) will be a panel quality verification tool!
That is "to set the FA(Free Answer) question as required to answer".
When examining the answer result of the FA, it was likely that 10 to 20% of the answers were the ones from the same person such as the copied answer, a similar answer collected in a certain time period. Naturally, survey companies are making efforts to improve this situation.
In the future, through co-work for improvement, I think that more accurate survey will be continued.
As for the merit of this type of FA style, there are many sleeping treasures in the answers for FA. It is a "hint of customer's real voice for his/her value." that does not come out from the choices in the survey. Normally, the FA questions say, "If you have anything else, please answer." By setting as required to answer, you can quantitatively verify FA and quantify real voice for his/her value.
It is a shortcut to a real hypothesis (precisely “a detour”).
